‘Raj govt wishes to offer quota, will act on report’


Shortly after the OBC commission submitted its report, BJP leaders and ministers said the government is in favour of the Jat community in Bharatpur and Dholpur districts getting reservation. Minister for social justice Arun Chaturvedi said in a statement that the government will act swiftly on the report. Earlier, speaking to DNA, BJP leader and career rival of Vishvendra Singh who is spearheading the agitation in Bharatpur, Digambar Singh also came out in support of the community’s demand. He said that the OBC commission has submitted its report after a comprehensive survey. The Jat community residing here has submitted its status with verifiable proofs,” Singh told DNA.
