More deaths and hospitalisations have been recorded among users of cocaine, as purest form of the addictive drug hits the streets of Britain, Metro UK reports. The report revealed that the average cocaine purity on the streets is now 54 percent, with dealers on the dark web boasting of selling cocaine at 90 per cent purity and above the stated the report. Tony Saggers, of the National Crime Agency, said, “It’s the highest level of purity in decades – but prices could actually drop as gangs compete for customers. Dr. Adam Winstock of the Global Drug Survey said last year that the number of cocaine users seeking emergency medical treatment had doubled. They can’t breathe, they’re too sweaty, they’re agitated — all of the things you would expect when someone’s taken too much coke,” Winstock said.
