‘Pipeline’ Review: Facing a Future Behind Bars


Many are British productions, but a fair number of the plays and musicals are of American origin (though some are West End transfers of Broadway shows). Performed by LCT in 2017, “Pipeline” has since been taken up by regional theaters from coast to coast. When the teacher insists on an answer, Omari gets physical and pushes back—hard. The result is a play of colossal force, acted to perfection by an ensemble cast that has no weak links whatsoever. While Ms. Pittman and Mr. Smallwood are the “stars,” their four colleagues each get chances to shine and make the most of them.
