MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Paeng (international name: Trami) is slowly leaving the country’s jurisdiction while keeping its strength, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday. As of 10 a.m., “Paeng” was seen 655 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 195 kph. But because of its distance from the Philippines, “Paeng” has no direct effect to the country, PAGASA said. The state weather bureau is also monitoring the low pressure area outside PAR.
