Moazzem Fakir, a member of Bipul Bahini, was killed in a “gunfight” early Friday, reported UNB. Later, police took Moazzem and conducted a drive at Maura Bongram village based on the information disclosed by the detainee during interrogation. In retaliation, police fired back which resulted in a “gunfight” that left Moazzem injured. Moazzem was taken to Panghsa Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead. The OC said Moazzem was wanted in a number of cases, including murder.
