Twenty-five persons died during the onslaught typhoon “Ompong” (Mangkhut) in Northern Luzon, Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino said Sunday. He said 13 others were reported missing in Cordillera. Tolentino the fatalities include a family of four who refused to leave their home in Nueva Vizcaya, 20 persons from the Cordillera Administrative Region and one from Sta. Most of the victims died in landslides, Tolentino said. Tolentino said search and rescue operations continue in areas hard hit by the typhoon.
