‘Now showing:’ Taguig turns posh cinemas into vaccination hubs

MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City government on Wednesday opened its ninth vaccination site, turning premium cinemas into vaccination hubs, as the local government aims to reach a target of 5,000 daily inoculation against COVID-19 beginning next week. Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano, through a private company partnership, launched the Venice Grand Canal Mall vaccination hub. Cayetano also reminded that only those with confirmed vaccination schedules can be accommodated in the city’s vaccination sites, as walk-ins would not be entertained. There are eight other vaccination sites in Taguig located at SM Aura, Lakeshore area, Vista Mall Parking Building and Bonifacio Global City’s Bonifacio High Street. There are also four community vaccine centers at the RP Cruz Elementary School, Maharlika Elementary School, EM’s Signal Village Elementary School, and Western Bicutan National High School.
