Southern Railway has no plans to extend Uday Express that runs between Coimbatore and Bengaluru, a senior railway official said here on Wednesday. On Tuesday, an email petition sent by one Mubarak Ali from South Ukkadam to various officials of the Indian Railways said that Train No. 22665/22666 Coimbatore - KSR Bengaluru Uday Express train should not be extended to Kerala. Speaking to The Hindu, the railway official said rumours were being spread regarding the extension of the train. Sreekandan wrote to Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways, on June 25 requesting for the extension of Uday Express till Palakkad.
