MANILA, Philippines — Five drug suspects, including a police officer, were killed in drug busts in Laguna, Bulacan and Rizal in the past two days. Matta said the fatality was tagged as a protector of drug dealers in the province. Also in Laguna, Fernando Sevilla reportedly shot it out with an undercover agent in Barangay Mamatid, Cabuyao City. Jack Santavilla and a certain Tajie were shot dead when they resisted arrest in Barangay San Juan, Cainta and San Jose, Rodriguez, both in Rizal. Leomar de la Cruz was killed in a sting in Barangay Igulot, Bocaue, Bulacan.
