An official guidebook for runaway console success Monster Hunter: World has been discovered, with a Japanese publication expected in late March. Published by Kadokawa, the official guidebook for Monster Hunter: World is headed for a March 24 Japanese release and runs to 1,008 pages, according to a retail listing unearthed by SiliconEra. As well as acting as an introduction to fundamental aspects of the epic-scale beast hunting game, Monster Hunter: World - The Official Guidebook contains sections dedicated to over 1,000 weapons, 690 recoverable material items, armour series and skills, field characteristics, and the game's cat-like assistants, the Felynes. Released worldwide on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Monster Hunter: World represented the cult franchise's most mainstream overture over the course of a 13-year history. Critically acclaimed, Monster Hunter: World was also the franchise's most successful launch and, in fact, the publisher's biggest ever, with Capcom announcing some 6 million copies shipped during Monster Hunter: World's first two weeks of availability.
