Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Revenue Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose has said that the decision to create new districts in the State to reach out to the public in a better way has been made and a committee to chalk out modalities will be constituted. Mr. Bose was responding to a question raised by MLC G. Sreenivasulu during Question Hour in the ongoing session of AP Legislative Council on Wednesday. ‘Criteria not discussed’“The decision has been made to increase the number of districts, but further examination is still going on. Mr. Bose said the government aimed at ensuring better administration that could reach out to the doorsteps of the people by creating more districts. TDP MLC Gummadi Sandhya Rani said that creation of one district per parliamentary constituency would do no good for the people of tribal areas in north Andhra as the Agency areas were much larger than normal parliamentary constituency area.
