DON’T make Mindanao a dumping ground of rogue policemen. Zamboanga City Rep. Celso Lobregat on Wednesday made the statement as a reaction to Philippine National Police Director General Ronaldo dela Rosa’s pronouncement that policemen involved in drugs and other illegal activities would be transferred to Mindanao. “General, we don’t need police scalawags in Zamboanga, we need good policemen,” Lobregat said during the weekly media forum Kapihan sa Manila Bay held at Café Adriatico in Ermita, Manila. “You’re just transferring the problem [by dumping them in Zamboanga]. According to the congressman, the PNP chief has promised to “seriously consider” his proposal.
