Manchester United are trying to wrap up transfers with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fully aware his side require reinforcements if they are to ever climb back up the footballing ladder. So far, however, it has been a nightmare summer for the club with Daniel James the only new signing. James signed for Manchester United from Swansea last week but, the arrival of the Wales international aside, it has been slow business. Matthijs de Ligt was strongly linked at the beginning of the month but now looks likelier to go to PSG instead.
