“This early, some members of Congress are already showing their real intentions that are bordering on personal interests. Worse, these congressmen don’t even realize the negative effect of what they’re doing,” Lacson added. He added, “In the end, the timetable is a matter that we will discuss with the committee members and the Senate leadership and try and come up with a consensus. “This should give the Con-Ass enough time to study the proposed changes [in]the Constitution, particularly the shift to federalism. I am not prepared to support a process that would diminish the power and independence of the [Senate],” Ejercito said.
