‘Major Sinha led anti-narcotics drives during posting at Teknaf BGB'


Maj (rtd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan Collected'Besides working on the Rohingya issue, he also led various anti-narcotics drives at the border'Army Major (rtd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan, who was killed in police firing on July 31 in Cox’s Bazar, also served at the BGB Battalion 2 in Teknaf for four months. During his posting there, he led several anti-narcotics drives as well as issues related to the Rohingya crisis, Lt Col Mohammad Faisal Hasan Khan, commanding officer of BGB Battalion 2 in Teknaf, told Dhaka Tribune on Thursday. Major (rtd) Sinha, along with Sifat and Shipra, had gone to Cox’s Bazar to make a documentary film on travelling. They are all accused in a case filed over Sinha’s murder by his sister with a Cox’s Bazar court. A Cox’s Bazar court remanded four more cops and three witnesses over the killing of Major (retd) Sinha on Wednesday.
