Gen Aziz Ahmed said: “The army and the police have always worked shoulder to shoulder. The army chief said a joint inquiry team had been formed at the behest of the prime minister. The committee will complete an objective investigation and action will be taken as per the recommendations of the committee, added the IGP. Earlier on Wednesday, Bangladesh Army chief Gen Aziz Ahmed and Inspector General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed went to Cox’s Bazar for the purpose of investigating the death of Maj (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan. They had meetings with senior police officers, senior army officers, and various senior officials of the administration.
