DAVAO CITY: Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. President John Carlo Tria is optimistic that the recovery of businesses in the city will continue as more businesses start reopening and adapting to the new normal. “With employees now reporting for work, and businesses started adapting and doing more deliveries, going online and catering to more customers, businesses could start picking up and this could help the local economy bounce back,” Tria explained. He told The Manila Times that local businesses were adapting online, creating a demand for things like vegetables and bypassing traditional channels. Tria, on the other hand, thanked the city government of Davao for the tax amnesties and reprieves given to businesses. They are a big help to our local businesses that all need to adapt to the new normal,” he said.
