Regional News of Sunday, 31 May 2020Source: GNA‘Let's not stampede President Akufo-Addo to lift restrictions’- Assemblyman cautionsPresident Akufo-AddoMr Christopher Kudzo Galenkui, Assemblyman for Wumenu Electoral Area in the Adaklu District has cautioned the citizenry against 'stampeding' President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to lift restrictions meant to contain COVID-19 in the country. "If we stampede the President and he lifts the ban now, there will becalamity in the country," Mr Galenkui said in an interview with GhanaNews Agency. He said there was no need to rush in lifting the restrictions, whenCOVID-19 positive cases were on the increase. Mr Galenkui said what the country needed now was God's divine interventionand observance of all safety protocols. He, however, said apart from re-opening of schools, the ban on other socialgatherings should be lifted.
