But as he grew, she began to think that something was wrong. “He was failing to hit milestones and was non-verbal. At first, we thought he was just a late bloomer and would get there eventually, but it soon became apparent there was more to it,” says Carol, who runs a dairy farm in Radestown, Co Kilkenny with her husband Nigel.
