Recalling his accidental overdose, father Kim Ledger is using the experience for good, working towards raising awareness for the addictive opioid painkillers that contributed to his son’s death. Kim alleged in the interview that the doctors Ledger went to might have played a role in the actor’s death. “It was totally his fault, there is no one else to blame,” Kim said in an interview with the Daily Mail Australia. In the final hours of his son’s life, he said that he and his daughter Kate warned Ledger against opioid tablets, in an attempt to prevent the ongoing addiction. Kim, 66, a businessman from Perth, now leads a non-profit organization called ScriptWise.
