Sanders wasn’t alone in his opinion of the Clinton slogan. Even former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau was opposed to it, and much of the way Clinton ran her campaign. “POTUS doesn’t think it’s wise to drag this out,” White House political director David Simas was reported as saying to Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager.
