Sechelt resident Joanna Moridian packs up her belongings in a house in the Seawatch neighbourhood after several sinkholes rendered the community unsafe to live in. The evacuation of the Seawatch neighbourhood was not unexpected — the area has a “history of geotechnical issues,” according to the Thurber Engineering report. In the spring of 2012 a sinkhole appeared on the property across from the Storeys’ home.
