CALGARY — A Calgary Bottle depot that employs people with disabilities is streamlining its service with automated sorting machine. Vecova’s depot in Varsity Estates has become popular for many northwest residents because of its social mission. The sorting machines will make it easier for staff with disabilities to work at the front counter. “This helps them focus on dealing with customer service, which is what Vecova bottle depot is really known for,” she said. “It makes our job a lot easier.” As a busy drop-off spot that also runs a residential pickup service, Barefoot said there was often a bottleneck in the sorting.
