Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Sunday said his country has completed a total of 24 projects in Bangladesh, worth Tk105 crore, over the last five years. “India has undertaken several developmental projects in Bangladesh, which is one of the most valuable and significant facets of our relationship,” he said. The envoy was addressing the inauguration of 11 water treatment plants installed for the people of Bhandaria municipality of the district. Under the project, 11 deep tube wells, each with an approximate depth of 600 feet, will be set up. Each water treatment plant will remove heavy metals, arsenic and salinity, thus making it potable.
