‘I was housed with women that had committed attempted murder’ – Irish woman Donna Hughes-Brown who was held in ICE detention centre


Irish woman, Donna Hughes-Brown, who was released after being detained by ICE for almost five months, has described the bad conditions she had to endure in the ICE detention centre. Speaking on RTÉ Radio 1’s Morning Ireland, the 58-year-old said she is "still a little bit overwhelmed” after being released from the ICE detention. She said she felt “absolutely floored” when she was being detained by ICE. They hadn't been used to having ICE detainees there. Everybody in my family having to fight for me, not having me around to be able to do the things that we normally do as a family.
