Q: Last term, my 5-year-old son asked me if he could start football locally as he saw the boys playing. I asked him why he does not want to go and he says it’s because parents don’t get to stay. I was more worried about him learning to swim so that he will be safe around water and don’t mind if he does not want to play football. I just want to make sure I don’t teach him to just give in.
