According to him, President Nana Akufo-Addo merely granted his decision through an appointment letter as part of formalities. The revelation by Mr. Baafi goes contrary to what the laws of the land say about the President and how he appoints people into public offices. Mr. Baafi, who was speaking at a meeting with Assembly members at the MCE’s residence in Koforidua, New Juaben South constituency could be heard proudly boasting of how he came by his position, to secure confidence from delegates in his bid to contest the incumbent MP, Hon. Mark Assibey-Yeboah.
