‘I don’t want anyone to lose their loved ones’


Banners in memory of the victims of the tragic incident filled the area, as the citizens came together to question the cause of the fire. He kept repeating “no one should lose their loved ones.”The banner was dedicated to Wasi Uddin Mahid, one of the 67 people who lost their lives in the devastating fire. The old man, Nasir Uddin, was torn apart seeing the banner dedicated to his only son. Looking at the banner, he said: “I lost my elder daughter to cancer on December 16 in 2011, and now I have lost my only son. These are tough times and I don’t want anyone to lose their loved ones anymore.
