In an interview with the New Yorker this week, 82-year-old Leonard Cohen admits that he’s “ready to die,” even while working on new material. “I don’t think I’ll be able to finish those songs,” he said. That’s about it for me.”But as sombre as this realization may seem, Cohen isn’t feeling too sad about it. “As I approach the end of my life, I have even less and less interest in examining what have got to be very superficial evaluations or opinions about the significance of one’s life or one’s work,” he said.
