Irish midfielder James Furlong has promised to do his best to adapt quickly to his new life on the continent after he agreed a move to Slovenian side Maribor. The 23-year-old, who came through the academy ranks with Bray Wanderers and Shamrock Rovers and claimed 17 caps at underage level for Ireland, has been in the UK since a 2019 move to Brighton, and in 2023 he transferred to Hull City.
