Afeez HanafiThe Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, says there is the need for public servants to embrace effective communication in order to prevent crisis in the public service. Ambode said this on Thursday in his opening remarks at a two-day training programme for public servants in Ikeja, Lagos. Furthermore, and perhaps, most essentially, he/she must be able to effectively communicate during times of stress or crisis.”The governor said the training would inculcate effective communication skills in the state workers and prepare them towards becoming strong and visionary leaders. “A strong leader who believes in the vision of the organisation will magnetically attract followers who will join the movement to fulfil the mission and realise the vision,” he added.
