Kaneff, founder of the Mississauga-based Kaneff Corporation, died Sunday at the age of 93. “Iggy left an indelible mark on our city as a city-builder and philanthropist, forever changing the face of Mississauga and shaping our urban landscape. He never stopped to work, he never stopped to care, he never stopped to give,” said Dr. Konstantin Valtchev, a longtime friend. Apparently the community needed a new church built, and Kaneff ended up donating a piece of his own land in Brampton, and over $1 million for the construction. He was larger than life.”Kaneff is survived by his wife Didi and his two daughters Anna-Maria and Kristina.
