The chief executive of the online homestay aggregator was arrested in Chennai on the charge of cheating Jigsaw Advertising. “Yogendra may be a bad businessman, but he is not a crook and certainly doesn't deserve to be treated like a criminal,” said the entrepreneur. Entrepreneur network TiE Chennai pointed out that the basis for categorising the Stayzilla case as a criminal offence is not yet known. He alleged that he was being threatened by Jigsaw Advertising and a politician, who was their landlord. “We have video and audio proof of an assault and then a verbal threat to kill,” said Mr. Vasupal referring to the landlord.
