The question is when and if its best asset— Anthony Boyle as Scorpius Malfoy—will come for the ride. St. Ann’s Warehouse, Brooklyn Academy of Music or the New York Theatre Workshop should already be queuing for a transfer. Mr. Branagh sings and dances with panache in a role made famous by Sir Laurence Olivier, but John Osborne ’s 1950s-era play feels a little tired. Running live in the West End until mid-November, it will be broadcast in New York at BAM Cinemas in early December.
