Share TweetBy Ellalyn De Vera-RuizThe trough or tail of typhoon “Hagibis” (international name) may bring rains over some areas in the eastern section of the Philippines until the weekend, although the strong cyclone is still unlikely to enter the country’s area of responsibility. Hagibis remains a very strong typhoon with maximum sustained winds of 200 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 245 kph. Dela Cruz said Hagibis is within the upper limit of the typhoon category, making it a “very strong” and “destructive” cyclone. Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface wind flow prevailing over Luzon may bring slightly cooler weather over Northern Luzon, especially in the early morning, dela Cruz said.
