ADVERTISEMENTTyphoon Jebi, located 3,030 kilometers east of northern Luzon remains outside of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). It was packing maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 170 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. It may enter the Philippine area of responsibility if it continues its west northwest movement at 20 kph, Pagasa said. It is not expected to hit land but it will enhance the southwest monsoon. Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorm.
