The IT-BPM industry remains a major pillar of the Philippine economy. Of the total, 1.6 million workers or 88.5 percent were employed in contact center and business process services. But industry data suggest a more nuanced impact. Proper investments in technology and human capital will be critical in allowing the IT-BPM industry to move up the value chain amid rapid technological change.
