The International Trade and Industry Minister said the approval came with a long list of conditions that companies must comply with, failing which it would be revoked. Azmin said to date, four companies had their approval rescinded for violating the conditions while 35 other firms were under investigations for breaches. “As a result of the closure of non-essential services, the economy was estimated to operate at 45% of its capacity during the period. “Employers must ensure all their workers undergo screening at any of the over 3,000 Socso panel health clinics nationwide, ” he said. “We will collaborate with the police and Labour Department to monitor the activities of the industries to ensure they comply with the standard operating procedure, ” he said.
