To add to the growing roster of Filipino films on top international streaming platform Netflix, “Finding Agnes,” starring Sue Ramirez and veteran indie film and theater actor Jelson Bay will premiere on November 30. Originally shot in 2019 and directed by Marla Ancheta, the film follows Brix Rivero, an entrepreneur (Bay) who goes on an emotional journey to Morocco, where he pieces together the turbulent life of his estranged mother and meets her adopted daughter, Cathy (Ramirez). Netflix posted the trailer on November 8, and the film centers on the themes of connecting with people, understanding intentions, and ultimately discovering oneself in the process. The film is produced by Mavx Productions, the team behind “Through Night and Day,” “Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap,” and “Nuuk.”
