The Everything Everywhere All at Once sweep at the Oscars shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who’s been familiar with the race for the past six or so months. The opening sequence to Everything Everywhere is spectacular, easily the best in the entire film. No one can deny their representation at the Oscars (particularly Yeoh, who has been one of the most talented martial artists in film for decades now). Maybe one day I’ll get over the Best Picture loss of my beloved The Fabelmans, and that will change my perspective on the film.
