more-inFewer educated women are taking up jobs in Kerala, Health Minister K.K. Inaugurating a seminar on ‘Women, privacy, jobs, and status’ organised by the All-Kerala Private College Teachers’ Association to mark its diamond jubilee here on Thursday, Ms. Shylaja pointed out that around 60% of educated women in the State were reluctant to take up jobs. The Minister said the tendency to insult women was on the rise across sectors, especially in music and cinema. Anandi, gender adviser to the State government, said that the assaults on women at workplaces were not being properly recorded often.
