The electoral commission is set to compile a new voters register. But the Electoral Commission has insisted compiling a new register is the best for the country because the existing register lacks credibility. Reacting to the Electoral Commission’s position, Otukonor insists it’s a move by the commission to support the governing NPP to retain power. He said, “Everything pointed to the fact that the EC, especially its chairperson, Jean Mensa, was clearly in favour of the NPP to retain political power through any means”.
