Dai is the main character from Dragon Quest: The Adventure Of Dai, which started as a manga series back in the late 80s. It eventually became a popular anime series and even had a few anime movies in the 90s. More recently, The Adventure Of Dai has been rebooted, with a bunch of new games and an entirely lovely anime series.
