PETALING JAYA: A 65-year-old man was detained for posing as a police officer in a bid to secure an interstate travel permit. ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said stern action would be taken against those who falsified documents to secure interstate travel permits. City police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassin said while there was congestion on the Federal Highway, other locations had been smooth, especially yesterday. He said apart from not having an interstate permit, there were also a handful of road users who only produced the permit without verification of any police station. Sabah Commissioner of Police, Comm Datuk Hazani Ghazali said although the traffic was heavy, it was not unusual.
