Share TweetBy Roy MabasaKnown for its centuries-old tradition of beer breweries and beer drinking, the Czech Republic Embassy in the Philippines is celebrating its National Day of Freedom and the 30thAnniversary of the Velvet Revolution by organizing the “Czech Beer Night” on November 16, 2019, at the Whitespace in Makati City. The Czech National Day of Independent State is commemorated every 28th day of October when then Czechoslovakia gained independence in 1918. During the twin events, the Czech Embassy will also feature an exhibit from Zetor, a well-known Czech brand for agricultural tractors that is now distributed in the Philippine market. The Czech also expressed its gratitude to its partners and sponsors such as Home Credit Philippines, VFS Global, Pilsner Urquell, Czechvar, Velkopopovický Kozel, Becherovka, Rudolf Jelinek, Whisky Trebitsch, Aero Vodochody Aerospace, and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.
