Professional welder Mike Kaufmannn started his Squat6Stands fitness equipment manufacturing company during COVID-19 to help meet the home exercise demand in the marketplace. Kaufmann, a gym enthusiast, began his Squat6Stands journey with an idea and a few late nights making AutoCAD drawings. “And finally after prototyping and spending day in and day out, trying to make this work, we came up with a really, really cool design. “I am proud it's a Canadian-made bench,” Kaufmann added, who believes it’s key to support local business amid this pandemic. “I am just trying to try to put out a really good Canadian product,” he said with pride.
