THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Saturday said the recruitment by Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) from among influencers was “real.”“Recruitment by the CTG from among the students, youth leaders and influencers is not propaganda — it is real,” Maj. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, AFP spokesman, said in a statement. Lawmakers slammed the military for “red-tagging,” demanding evidence and threatening to cut funds for its anti-insurgency task force. Arevalo said the AFP has a solemn obligation to fight and defeat communist terrorists, which would result in deaths from either side. The House leadership had vowed to transmit a soft copy of the GAB to the Senate on October 28. On red-tagging Gabriela, the AFP should carefully prove that …instead of finger-pointing and blame tossing,” Marcos said.
