The reports are “hugely transparent”, he says. “The doctor’s name’s there, the practice is there, how much money’s there and for what, and there’s no dollar limit…there’s no aggregation of data, it is what it is.”He says the level of transparency safeguards against allegations that doctors and medical staff are unduly influenced by the pharmaceutical companies. “They’re not hiding behind anything, this is very clear now, you can’t get more transparent than the reports as they are. I’d be very perturbed if people took the wrong end of the stick from that.”
