more-inDravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani on Sunday asked if Hindi could be a court language in north India, why was Tamil not being allowed to be used in the Madras High Court. In a statement, Mr. Veeramani said the Centre was acting against Tamil Nadu’s interests whether it was NEET or the Tamil language. Mr. Veeramani recalled that in 2006, the DMK government passed a resolution in the Assembly for Tamil to be used as a court language. Shah had supported the use of Tamil in the Madras High Court. Mr. Veeramani said that the State could witness massive protests if the government did not act in the best interests of Tamil Nadu on the sensitive issue.
