The city of Manila, in partnership with PayMaya, has mobilized their Kadiwa Rolling Stores equipped with cashless technology to bring essential goods closer to Manila citizens while under Enhanced Community Quarantine. Through this partnership, Manila residents can go cashless using PayMaya QR, their PayMaya-powered citizen ID card, or any debit or credit card whenever they purchase discounted essential items from the Kadiwa Rolling store stationed near their homes. The Kadiwa Rolling Store will be roving to more barangays in the coming days, bringing more discounted goods and vegetables sourced from South Emerald Supermarket. The city of Manila is the first local government unit to go digital for cash assistance distribution to citizens during Enhanced Community Quarantine. It recently disbursed more than P13 million cash assistance to eligible senior citizen beneficiaries through PayMaya to further help them cope with the effects of the current Enhanced Community Quarantine.
